LOVE AND SELF RESPECT; More than thousands of students in a 10 acre engineering campus with four separate buildings, different courts for different games, with a huge library that could be accessed by any student or staff. Among those thousands a fresher was Shashank who got admission in this CDE engineering college through sports category. He was a national level cricket player. Though he was bad at studies but his playing skills bought him a good college to just get a degree. He never wanted to study further because all he aspired was to become a cricketer but his family never supported him. Shashank's father was Delhi branch manager in BSNL, so insisted him to take ECE branch. In the begininng he started enjoying with friends, playing for college tournaments, going for late night parties just like any other guy. Although he never thought a girl could change his life.  Things changed after he saw a girl; who was trying to play cricket with her friends in the field.  Her ende...

ANGER AND REALIZATION;  I would wake up early in the morning around 4:00 am, sit in the corner, clinging to things that happened, diverting my mind and taking a book to read, shift to exercise, turn the radio on and  turn it off. Rush to the bathroom to brush my teeth, down to kitchen make myself tea, make breakfast. Anything, anything to get away from that situation,... from what? I don't know what, but I knew I was escaping.  Life was so easy back then; I would get up late, call for my mother for coffee. Serving the breakfast right in my hands and taunt her for seasons that would go less for me. 'Ma, why do you put so less salt in kichidi, it doesn't taste good at all.' And for once 'Ma its too much salt in it, too much salty. You alone have this, I am going out for lunch with friends.' But my mom being so nice all the time would never say a word to me. She would always reply politely in soft and low voice: 'Beta please adjust for once.' And now when I...

LIFE WHICH DECIDES

ADOPTION AND DONATION;  It was the year 2018,  Introducing myself, Anupama in Orissa,  I didn't give up on my dreams and my talent. They were my best friends. I continued my dance classes and living my life back in the same small apartment with some cash left in my hand and salary that I was getting paid for.  Sitting with my diary in hand I am taken aback reading the goals and the promises that I made to myself.  Was it all my decisions fault, which lead me to take another path that has changed my life totally. I was standing in line with other girls with same kind of feeling probably thinking to get adopted today. Line extended, months passed, years passed.  I was fed up standing in the line, waiting and hoping that  "today is the day that is going to happen".   It was because very few couples came to adopt the girls and they were very choosy in doing it. My fellow girls got their t...

DAUGHTER WITH FATHER

PERCEPTIONS AND RELATIONS; It was a bright day. I woke up after seeing my dad who was with Raja, getting ready to go to our farm. Raja is our ox who's age was equal to mine.  Raja and dad were my family. Dad loved me and him very much. We both have spent nearly 12 years of our age with Daddy.  We had small farm nearby our village which dad had got it from his ancestors. We survived because of that field on which dad farmed.  Without any late I quickly freshened up and followed Raja and Daddy. I saw dad was ploughing the field after our last crop was harvested.  I enjoyed this because I used to run in our field and Daddy would run after me asking me to stop doing it. I loved the kind of attention when I was at field.  Daddy, Shanthi aunty who lived nearby to our field, Chacha, whose field was just beside ours every body enjoyed my naughtiness.  But Shanthi aunty remained isolated she never smiled, nor laughed. Daddy used to say that she lived alone and she w...

REAL TALK

DEPRESSION AND SUICIDE; It is said that labor pain is worst of all. You can feel and understand it only when you have been through it. In the same way you cannot feel and understand what is going on in the mind of a person unless you are in his shoes. You are more like an audience watching the play. Lets take mental depression here to be a weather condition. Where the areas have low pressure succumb to cyclone or depression. How many of you feel very good and at the same time very low during rainy season? I bet every alternate can feel that low pressure building up. The amount of activity decreases, there is increase in desire to do nothing because of less sun. When the weather depression is real so is mental depression. What leads you to depression? It is where you develop low pressure due to chemical imbalances in your brain. Hence, in brain there is decrease in neurotransmitters which in turn affects our mood. Our nerves in brain don't touch each other they just pass the message...

Laziness and choices;   How often do you wake up without any voices in your head? like just like that., no right... a voice pops in hey! wake up, you have got so much to do today, there comes another voice, no there's so much time left just keep your eyes close. So you are now left with a choice. What would you choose over always? Why a man becomes lazy?  What does laziness do to your body?  Before anything, there is huge difference between a procrastinator and a lazy man.  The first one postpones the work according to his own agility and eventually does finish the job and the second one skips the work as much efforts are required and apt for the lesser effort consuming job. So you are now lucky, you can defy if somebody calls you lazy though you have finished your job. lol.! A man becomes lazy when he continuously postpones the work but ultimately doesn't finish it. Here's where a procrastinator and the lazy man fall into same equation where they lack the motivation....
